Trim Refinishing in Tampa, FL
Baseboards, casings, doors, and crown molding brought back to a crisp, clean finish, the detail work that makes the whole room look new.
What's Included
Done properly, start to finish
Brushed or sprayed, depending on the run
Trim gets brushed or sprayed depending on what the room allows. Spraying gives the smoothest result on doors and long uninterrupted runs. Brushing is the better tool where masking off finished walls and floors would cost more than it gains, or where a line has to be cut tight by hand.
Either way the preparation is identical. Nail holes and dings get filled, the filler gets sanded flush, and the surface gets scuffed so the new enamel has something to hold onto.
Trim that has been painted one too many times
Trim in older Tampa homes has often been repainted five or six times. Every coat softens the profile a little more, until the crisp edge of a door casing or the detail in a crown molding is buried somewhere under the paint.
That trim is not finished, it just needs taking back. We sand it down to a flat, sound surface and rebuild the finish from there, so the shape comes back instead of disappearing under one more layer.
